Early 1960's Ludwig transitional period Pioneer snare drum. (transitional era drum had the Ludwig badge but one or more parts still bore the stamp of the WFL company that preceded the Ludwig family buying their name back in 1955) For best cosmetic description please see pictures. The Nickle plated hardware is fair to good with spotting all over as is normal for a 60 year old piece. The Brass hoops are in good shape, Nickle plating on those is also fair. Throw off and snare but work as they should. There are no extra holes anywhere in the drum, it appears completely original. Bearing edges are also original. Shell appears to be in round, the batter edge is not perfectly flat but the head and hoop go on easily and tune up without issue. (This is most likely the way the drum left the factory as at that time they did not manufacture to the same tolerances expected today) Dupont two tone paint looks good but has dings and some chipping.
