Description: Pre-Eagle Vintage Mexico Sterling Serrated Leaves Brooch Pin With Hanging Berries Fruit 3-1/4" Tall, Solid 925 Silver, Estate Jewelry 8.3g Details: Very good condition vintage brooch has 5 veined serrated edge leaves on the end of a stem. Four 1/4" sterling silver balls representing fruit or berries hang from jagged stiff sterling wire stems. Stick pin is intentionally bent to be hidden behind a leaf when clasped. Rollover clasp works properly. Reverse of brooch is stamped "STERLING MEXICO", which is commonly found on pieces dating from the 1920s to the mid-1940s before Mexico instituted the Eagle Hallmarking System for silver in 1948.Comes in a nice paperboard gift box with a square of protective jewelry padding. The item is enclosed in a plastic bag with a black tarnish prevention strip.
