Description: FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE.....! Vintage porcelain medium size spill or serving bowl decorated with a bold heraldic motif. A hand enhanced transfer is further treated with raised enameled details. The decoration incorporates an early Portuguese Royal Coat of Arms, known as Heraldica, possibly as early as the 16thc, is repeated on the sides as well as the interior. No back stamp to identify its origins. It has the look of early Lowestoft Porcelains, however, dating from the second half of the last century. The bowl stands 2 1/2 inches tall and measures 6 inches in diameter. It has survived prior ownership free of chips, cracks or cutlery abrasions. I did notice some spotty wear to the bright gold glaze on the bowl rim only. I have inserted a standard size playing card in one photo as a reference for size. MUCH-OBLIGED
