From my experience growing this plant, Piper Longum prefers shade, slightly acidic soil. Dont let the soil get dry. When you get the plant, keep it shaded outside is preferred. There is not enough ambient light indoors for a plant to thrive. If you order when it is cold out (below 50 degrees), expect the order to be held until it is warm.
