Pioneer knows that variety is the spice of life. That's why this versatile receiver plays MP3 and WMA files stored on CD-R or CD-RW, as well as audio CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs. At roughly 10 hours of MP3/WMA music per disc, you can store an entire music collection in one CD holder. For easy identification, your MP3 and WMA text is displayed in vivid color. Your tunes will get a one-two sonic punch MOSFET50 4-way high power revs 'em up, and the tone-shaping clout of Easy EQ gets 'em sounding great! Five EQ presets ("Super Bass," "Powerful," "Natural," "Vocal," and "Flat") can be modified by the 3-band parametric EQ and saved as a custom user preset (one per source). You'll enjoy the convenience of Automatic Sound Levelizer. It adjusts the volume to compensate for changes in road noise, making your music sound great at any speed. Sound Focus EQ fine-tunes the stereo image with separate front and rear tone settings. Two factory presets are available: one boosts the treble up front and the bass in the rear, while the other boosts the treble and bass up front, and just the bass in the rear. There's also a customizable user preset, and a seat position selector. The Organic EL display also reads out CD Text from encoded discs. If your discs aren't text-encoded, you can personalize 48 of them with disc titles (100 with a CD changer). Pioneer's Supertuner III does a great job of pulling in earthbound radio stations, or you can add an optional Pioneer XM tuner if you prefer the endless variety of satellite radio (XM antenna and subscription also required).
