pfSense dual-port 10-Gigabit router / firewall on Dell Precision T1700 hardware

Description: FOR SALE: Dell Precision 1700 SFF dual-port 10-Gigabit router/firewall running pfSense. Originally, the device was a mini-workstation. We converted it into a dual-port 10-Gigabit router. To test the device and set port functions, we made a few changes to the initial pfSense configuration. A detailed configuration note will be provided to the buyer. Alternatively, the buyer could simply reset the software to its initial state. If you're interested in having this device run OPNsense instead, let us know, we can make it happen at no additional charge. The device runs on an Intel i3-4150 processor (two cores / four threads, 3.50 GHz) with 16 GB of RAM and a 160 GB Intel SSD. The processor supports AES-NI crypto. Networking (two 10-Gigabit SFP+ ports) is handled by an add-on Intel X710-DA2 network interface card (SFP+ cartridges are not included). The built-in single Gigabit Ethernet port is serviced by an Intel i217-LM network interface card. We configured the SFP+ ports as LAN and WAN and the Gigabit Ethernet port as a management interface. The device is designed for toolless maintenance. No tools are necessary to open the case or remove/replace most of the major components. The device is actively cooled. Fan noise level is typical for a desktop computer. The device is in good physical condition (please review the photos); there's some scuffing and scratching consistent with long-term normal use. A power cable (not shown in photos) will be included with the device.
