Description: Peronoceras sp. from the Yorkshire Coast, Whitby, UK. Approximately 180 million years old. This specimen has been prepared by me and has a reasonably clean center. The preservation of this specimen is really good, minus one area that features a round break in the outer whirl of the shell and some wear from the sea where the ammonite protruded from the nodule. Frequently the centers of these ammonites can be sticky and heavily calcified. This one is pretty nice looking. The nodule itself is 2.87” tall, 2.75” wide, and 1.5” deep. The ammonite is 2” wide at its widest point. This is the exact specimen you will receive and it will be well packaged and posted within 48 hours of payment. Please message with questions.Thank you for looking.
