Description: The warm red tones of the cherry wood make this Pennsylvania House king-size bed an exceptional piece of furniture. It is a massive and sturdy bed and can accommodate either a queen-size or a king-size mattress, depending on which slots you insert the side rails into. Next to the stamp for the manufacturer on the back of the headboard, there is what appears to be a date stamp, which is actually upside down, the year being 1998. As a vintage bed, it is not in mint condition and has a few issues that I need to point out. There are some scratches on the footboard (refer to picture 7), and the ornamental brass medallions on the two legs of the footboard are missing (refer to picture 14 for a view of the right side of the footboard). The two rails are slightly lighter in color that the rest of the bed (refer to picture 9). The four posts can be removed by unscrewing them from the headboard and the footboard. I don't have any interior support for the box spring and mattress.
