Brand: FMCModel: FR-Series FMC fan reducers are optimized to improve flow efficiency by: 1) Increasing effective radiator flow area by ~30%. 2) Reducing fan blade boundary layer interaction with nearby obstructions (radiator fins, mesh panels, case perforations, etc). 3) Reducing chamber recirculation (in push configurations). Why (2) 140mm fans instead of the standard (3) 120mm fans, or even (3) 140mm fans? 1) Most radiator designs mount fans directly/ very close to the radiator fins, which results in airflow voids behind the fan hubs that reduce the effective surface area of the radiator. Fan reducers help improve thermal performance by permitting airflow to the entire radiator surface area. 2) 140mm fans generally run at a lower RPM than 120mm fans, and tend to have more efficient performance per dB. All 140mm designs are tested with Arctic P14 Max fans, and as such are recommended for use with our products (fans not included with listing). 3) Many PC cases simply don't have the height and depth required to house a (3) 140mm fan reducer. 4) If a PC case does have enough room, many radiators do not have sufficient thermal headroom to fully utilize the flow from (3) 140mm fans. 5) (2) 140mm fans can good compromise over (3) 120mm fans because they allow you to improve airflow/ fully utilize the thermal performance of your radiator, but often without creating more noise. Listing includes:- (1) 2-piece black plastic fan reducer.- (2) Optional-use vortex inserts- (12) Radiator Screws, 6-32 x 1/4" L. Screw threads will engage your radiator threads by ~3.5mm.- (8) Fan Screws, 6-32. Length varies with specified fan thickness (fans not included with listing). Components are FDM 3D printed and postprocessed, but may still exhibit cosmetic characteristics of that manufacturing process (layer lines, nozzle marks, stringing, etc).
