Description: Paul Engle (October 12, 1908 – March 22, 1991), was an American poet, editor, teacher, literary critic, novelist, and playwright. He is remembered as the long-time director of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and as co-founder of the International Writing Program (IWP), both at the University of Iowa. (Wikipedia). This book came from a library. All the extraneous markings you find are the result of being added and later withdrawn from a public library. Nonetheless, the volume itself is in very good shape. It's a hardcover edition with a dust jacket in very good shape. I couldn't remove the library call letters without damaging the dust jacket, so I left the label intact. The blue endpaper has pulled loose, but the binding remains firm. The text is clean without marks. Paul Engle was a renowned poet whose work should be studied and admired. This is a first edition published in1959 by Random House. I offer 30 day returns, the buyer pays for return shipping. Shipping will be within 24 business hours of payment.
