Inspired by winding process of classic audio transformer, and we have made much improvement after precision calculation and testing, adopting 10K:10K permalloy transformer, the signal is boosted by 2 times, even can replace the active preamp. The measured frequency response of transformer is 10Hz-100KHz(-0.2DB) and 20Hz-50KHz(0.1DB). High-quality components are used to ensure perfect performance and long time stable work: Permalloy transformer made of E25 sheet with ultra-high inductance, ultra-low leakage inductance and small distributed capacitance. Primary and secondary inductances are around 1100H to 1600H. Japan APLS 27-type duplex potentiometer(with smaller error, higher precision, lower noise, longer service life, and more smooth rotating feelings) to control the volume. US CMC816 gold-plated pure copper RCA terminals for lossless transmision, solid aluminum alloy knob and so on. Mini size with exquisite appearance, cast aluminium chassis and aluminum alloy knob looks very textured and high-end. Notice: The voltage is magnified 2 times, but the volume is not 2 times larger, the volume and voltage are logarithmic relations. The passive preamp should not be too close to the power amplifier and power transformer to prevent the magnetic field and electric field from interfering with Permalloy and generating hum noise.
