Description: Offered is a most interesting Parker Magnetix desk base complete with a Parker 51 fountain pen. It is quite a heavy base indeed! The condition is very good. I’d rate it a solid 8.5/10. The original felt is still in place after 80 years of life! This is from the Magnetix series. The tulip/holder is attached to the base by a very powerful magnet. It swivels in all directions. The bottom of the base is Black glass and the top is a concave brass slab. The included vacumatic filling a pen is filling a bit as it is but has Not been recently restored. It might work for some time but a new diaphragm is recommended. The pen has a crisp 1947 date code. (See pics). The nib looks like a Medium. The only distraction is a couple of small areas of discoloration on the brass top. There is also the previous owner’s name engraved.
