Description: Panasonic RS-296US auto reverse cassette player/changer from the early 70’s. Cosmetic condition of the main unit overall is very good with normal wear. The dust cover has quite a few light marks/scratches. There is one small scratch that is a little deeper. See last photo. Unit powers on, but when you push the start button the tray that holds the cassettes does not rotate. The standby light flashes and you can hear a whirling noise that sounds similar to a motor sound. Flashing light and sound will not stop until power is turned off. I’ve included a video with the accompanying sound it makes. I’m not sure if it needs new belts or something else or if there are others issues that we are not aware of. Because of this we are selling this item “as is” with No Returns Accepted.
