Description: For your consideration are a pair of wonderful petit vintage seascape paintings in oil. Artist is unknown. Each post-impressionist work measures 5 x 7” and is on boxed canvas. Both works are in great shape with no conditions to note. Small scale paintings are not easy to create, let alone ones with such superb execution. There is no doubt these are the work of quite a talented artist. The artwork is housed in original wooden frames stained brown. The organic look of the frames suits the artwork fine. The frames are vintage so the buyer can expect very minor vintage related wear such as the odd ding, nick or minor scratch. Apart from vintage related minor wear, there are no other conditions to note. Add 1.5-2” to canvas size for total measurements. Buyer may want to consider replacing current frames with gold or silver plein air frames, as they will elevate the artwork considerably. Unfortunately I do not have much provenance for this pair, which came to Beaucet Beaux Art via a Midwest vintage retailer. I use bubble wrap and other inflatables, foam, cushioned paper, and more to protect artwork from the rough handling that inevitably occurs during transport. A bunch of paper and plastic are required to keep artwork safe, so I use recycled materials whenever possible. All of this takes time. These are one of a kind works of art. They cannot be replaced.
