Description: Pair of antique English porcelain plates. England, circa 1890. This is a PRETTY and ANTIQUE PAIR of English porcelain cabinet plates. ALL hand painted, depicting mountains, sailing boat, castle and river. Gold gilding edges. Blue turquoise color. Both are stamped ( impressed ) mark MINTON, and year cypher ( see photo ) Minton was one of the pioneers in English china. Both are numbered in red ( 6547 ) and letters A and B. This turquoise blue color, was very fashionable during the Victorian era , it was called “ Minton blue “. Round shape. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work. Dimensions : Diameter : 9 inches ( 23 cm ) H : 0.75 inches ( 2 cm ) Weight : 1 lb 14 oz ( 860 grams ) for the pair. Condition report : No chips, cracks or any damage. Minor discoloration to the gold gilding, at the exterior edges, consistent with age and use. Clean and ready to be placed. VERY GOOD CONDITION
