Description: Please see my other auctions for other French Empire bronze items including a centerpiece attributed to Thomire or Feuchere and a pair of tiered dessert stands attributed to Thomire. A very rare pair of French Empire ormolu footed centerpieces or surtout de table in the style of Pierre-Philippe Thomire. Circa 1820. These exquisite centerpieces feature three graceful maidens supporting baskets pierced with anthemion and flowers. The bases feature torches, garlands, ribbons, and baskets of flowers. Very good condition with original gilding. The crystal bowls are not original to the pieces but they make the pieces very useful for flower or fruit arrangements. The last photograph shows these pieces and other pieces being auctioned. DIMENSIONS 18 1/2” tall 8” diameter at the top Careful packing and shipping with insurance is $175 to the continental United States. If you have questions or need more pictures, message me.
