Description: This excellent quality pair of 1960's picture frames are constructed of solid mahogany with gusseted back corners suggesting European origin and each has a modified cassetta profile with antique green canted field. Each measures 12 1/4" x 14 1/4" overall with 7 3/8" x 9 3/8" reveal and 8 1/8" x 10 1/8" back rabbet opening and boasts a 2 1/2" wide molding with reverse profile and accents of gold metal leaf on red bole ground. The green has streaky uburnt umber glaze and there is some wear/loss to the leaf revealing the red bole ground. The natural wood frame with cassetta profile, antique black speckles and metall leaf reveal measures 24 3/4" x 29 3/4" overall with 20 7/8" x 25 3/4" reveal and 21 3/8" x 26 3/8" back rabbet opening.
