Description: Oxford SPCK 1928 As Proposed Book of Common Prayer BCP Leather England Reader Rebind This is an exceedingly rare and reader/hand-sized Book of Common Prayer according to the Proposed 1928 edition for use in the Anglican church in a custom rebound binding with matching slipcase. Please look closely at the pictures for the certification year for the BCP. The font is very readable, with a healthy typeface for the page’s size, and limited ghosting on very thin paper. Reinforced, sewn text block. Paper quality was amazing back then. There is no indication on the type of leather, but I imagine a leather over boards. The rebind was done well. Has some abrasions, to hinges mostly. The dyed page edges are slightly faded with some dog ears at the bottom right corner. I found a few pages with scattered notes, though minor. Clean pages, though, and of a size between reader and compact. 7.3 x 4.75 x 1.1 inches Dime used for comparison Note: I do not accept returns unless the item was not as I described because of a mistake I made. I always list any writing, stains, tears, or imperfection of any kind. And I always list the condition conservatively, so you should expect the item to be in better condition than listed. Unlike the vast majority of sellers out there, I refuse to hide imperfections through cleverly taken pictures or obscure descriptions.
