A real projectable moving image that would look great up on your big screen/wall. DESCRIPTION: Originally released on May 7, 1932, the "Our Gang" comedy "Choo-Choo!" was a loose remake of the 1923 two-reeler A Pleasant Journey. Exchanging clothes with a group of mischievous orphans, the Our Gang kids end up on a train headed for Chicago. Pressed into service as the kids' supervisor, effeminate Travelers Aid attendant Mr. Henderson (Dell Henderson) suffers the torments of the darned, especially when he tries to prevent three-year old George "Spanky" McFarland from punching the nose of every adult in sight. Things to come to a head when the kids manage to get hold of some fireworks, at the same time accidentally releasing a menagerie of circus animals from the baggage car. Listen carefully and you'll hear the voice of Oliver Hardy as the fireworks salesman yells for help. CONDITION: This Original (possibly Blackhawk, but the credits are missing at both ends) PRINT is in GOOD to FAIR physical condition for an Ex-Library print. There are ten splices that I counted, a white spot in one frame, minor sprocket hole damage and thin scratches that come and go. And it is VERY funny! Approximately 700 feet or 17-19m. Smells fine no vinegar odor! SHIPPING: Domestic USPS Media shipping (depending on your USA locations) will be between $3-5. International shipping depends on the location and would be $15-45 and would need to be insured. WEIGHT: 3 pounds, 12 ounces. FAQ: Do I have to take the can? Yes (if it came with one other wise it will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard box), you do, both for shipping protection and for preservation. (It doesn't weigh that much compared to the film.) Is there a cheaper way to ship overseas? If you can find it let me know! Will you change the customs form? No, it will reflect the sale exactly. Can I take a long time to pay? That would be impolite, and can delay shipping turnover. Please communicate if payment is to be delayed. Do you accept returns? I do within 14 days of receipt of package. Please note that all photos and videos are part of the product disclosure. Return shipping is buyers responsibility and should be insured. If the package arrives damaged-do not accept it! PAYMENTS: Please pay via Ebay! All of my items are unconditionally guaranteed. E-mail me with any questions you may have. This is Larry41, wishing you great movie memories and good luck… BACKGROUND: “Hop on board the Choo Choo with Brisbane, Stymie, Spanky, Weezer, Dorothy, etc. and join in one of the funniest rides in memory. Our Gang runs into several orphans who've ditched their group on the train at a whistle stop...Next thing you know, the gang changes clothes with the orphans, gets caught, and is put on a separate train back to the orphanage - only they are escorted by the wonderful stage actor Dell Henderson. Poor Henderson is classic as the victim of the kids' high jinks throughout...Led by Spanky (who, in his only non-speaking role in this series, conveys more through his expressions than many actors ever could), the gang turns the train trip into a nightmare for all on board, except for them AND us...The pace is fast and the laughs are constant - two critical factors for a successful comedy short! Look for Otto Fries in a great cameo as the drunken novelty salesman who gives the gang the tools for the ultimate surprise ending... Too funny!!!” There are just so many excellent Little Rascal shorts out there. No, this isn't one of the lesser ones. It's one of the better ones, in fact. While it's missing the warmth and endearing qualities that make the truly outstanding ones, this is totally enjoyable and fun, without really being touching. The plot's fairly simple. The gang trades clothes with orphans who are on a train trip. They get left behind, but are brought along on the next train by the great - and largely unremembered - Dell Henderson. And, as would be expected, they make the whole trip a living hell for him and everybody else. Ringleted Dorothy DeBorba is for once not a member of the gang, and is instead traveling with Estelle Etterre (or is it Belle Hare?), who was Dickie's nurse in Free Wheeling. Little Spanky steals all his scenes, of course, and the scene where he keeps punching Mr Henderson in the face as he tries to sleep is impossible not to laugh at. The climax is not an expected one, and that makes it all the more satisfying. *SPOILER* An inebriated novelty salesman (Otto Fries) has a suitcase full of fireworks that is set ablaze by a monkey (don't ask!) and they go whizzing through the sleeping cabin, zapping people in the behind, causing a porter's cigar to explode, etc. Definitely a great one, never boring and never, ever disappointing.
