Description: Ossining-on-Hudson, NEW YORK - Trinity Episcopal Church - 1909: Ossining is a village in Westchester County, New York, United States. The population was 25,060 at the 2010 census. As a village, it is located in the town of Ossining. Founded in 1868, Trinity built on its liturgical roots in Anglo-Catholic worship, while proclaiming the Gospel of Christ to Ossining and the wider community. Today, Trinity is under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Charles D. Mayer. We are working with our sister parish of St. Paul’s on the Hill in exploring new ways of worshiping and connecting to each other and to the wider community. Trinity Episcopal Church is part of the Anglican Communion throughout the world. We are both catholic—true to the historic Christian faith—and Protestant—reformed and evangelical. Our only required confessions of faith are the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds, which we share with all of Christendom. Our profession of faith is in Holy Baptism and Confirmation. Our central act of worship is the Holy Communion (the Eucharist). We worship in accordance with the Book of Common Prayer (1979). This Divided Back Era postcard, mailed in 1909, is in good condition, but shows some edge wear. Hugh C. Leighton Co. Portland, Me. No. 26918.
