Description: Original WWI French Barbed Wire Cutters 1917 Dated Peugeot Freres. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Up for sale is a fantastic pair of wire cutters used by the French army in the First World War. This particular pair of cutters is dated 1917 and has the manufacturers name also stamped into the upper portion of the cutter. They are in good condition for their age, some light rust and obvious signs of use, the front blades are a bit chewed up. You can see a French soldier was at one time using these tools to clear a path for the next ill-fated bayonet charge... You do not see many of these that survived the war. Most are in collections, those that have the rare opportunity to leave France. Great opportunity to buy a seriously cool and authentic piece of military history from the Great War! Please look over all the pictures carefully to judge the item for yourself. We are always looking to purchase items, look at my business card and send me an email.
