Description: Offered is an original World War One era Imperial German Artillery Officer’s sword together with its original scabbard and knot. This sword is marked WMW Waffen, denoting the manufacturer. The sword remains in very nice original condition and has never been modified, repaired, or sharpened. The blade remains bright and the tip remains as it left the factory. The original leather washer is also present. The scabbard shows only light wear given its age, has its original paints, and is without dents or cracks. The original buckled hanger with its clip remains present. The original knot also remains present. While the leather broke long ago, the entirety of the knot remains present, the leather is supple, and the knot itself shows little wear. Overall, a very nice World War One era German Artillery Officer’s sword rig that is offered as pictured.
