Description: An original World War One British lithographic recruitment poster 'Which? Have you a reason for not enlisting? Now!' printed in 1915. Published by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in London - Poster Number 128. Printed by The Abbey Press 32 and 34 Great Peter Street, Westminster. This poster was created as a last ditch effort to avoid conscription after the number of new recruits began to decline at the end of 1915. Stories of the horrors soldiers faced during the war were discouraging men from enlisting. The demand was still not met, and the Military Services Act was passed in January 1916 to introduce conscription. The poster measures 30 inches by 19.5 inches (762 mm by 495 mm). Some minor tears along the bottom - see photos. Please see photos for overall condition. Please let me know if you need any additional photos or information. Please see my other listings. Thanks and kind regards.
