Original Water by Larry Greer Oklahoma Artist "The Eyes of Wisdom"

Description: A beautiful watercolor titled "The Eyes of Wisdom" by artist Larry Greer. Larry was born 01/17/26 in Frederick OK and 1969 he graduated from Southwestern OK State University. He was an art and drama teacher in Yukon OK and later worked at Prentice Hall Publishing Company. He became a full-time artist beginning in 1976 until his death in 2005. His primary medium was watercolor which he mixed with other media (including wiskey)! Larry used the image of "Father Christmas" in his work for many years. Perhaps this painting was a depiction of Fr. Christmas, and the wisdom St. Nicholas had throughout his long life. The painting is in its original frame and has his signature on with "86" for the year it was created. On the back of the painting is a card with the title of the artwork. The label states that it is Watercolor and Conte (which is a compressed powered graphite). The card also retains a signature of Greer, which could be printed or his actual signature. The card also is stamped "Larry Greer 521 North 12th, Frederick, OK 73542." You can see all this detail in the pictures I have taken. The frame measures 11-1/2 wide x 13-1/2 long and is 1-1/2" deep. The artwork under glass measures 2-3/4" wide by 4-3/4" long (for what is visible that the double matt around the work isn't covering up.
