Description: Original Retro 1960’s Framed Textured Print Titled Puppy Love By Louis Shabner A beautiful piece of mid century art produced by Louis Shabner, also known as Lou Shabner, during the 60's. The piece titled 'Puppy Love' depicts a pretty blue eyed girl cuddling a cute puppy. Her raven hair and orange top are offset against a blue background. The piece is signed 'Lou Shabner' in the print on the lower right hand corner. Louis Shabner began his career producing shop window advertising for brands such as Every Ready, Ovaltine and Chivers jams, amongst others, but is best known for his paintings of sultry sirens. During the 1960s and 1970s his prints, which were available through shops such as Boots chemists and by post through Freemans catalogues, adorned lounge walls up and down the UK. Many of his women made it onto hugely popular calendars during the same period. Looks to be in its original frame which measures approx 56.5cm x 67cm In generally good condition for age but may have a couple of tiny tiny marks due to its age but I’ve shared lots of photos for you to view Will be well packaged and sent via 48hr courier
