Description: ORIGINAL ANTONIO DeVITY OIL PAINTING ON TILE 1950's Mid Century Modern Antonio DeVity (1901–1993) was an Italian painter born in Naples. DeVity had a passion for painting and art and a love for Paris. He lived and worked in Paris, then returned to Naples, opening a studio and producing paintings of France and Italy for the remainder of his career. De Vity's works have won international awards and he is recognized for his bright colors and impressionist treatment of the streets of Europe, especially Paris. I'm the original owner. My father was an art dealer in Italy and purchased these pieces directly from the artist in 1950's. They have been stored since then. This is an oil painting on tile. Each piece is painted on a 6 X 6 inch tile. Frame size is 9" X 9". Piece is signed on the right but barely visible. Painting is in very good vintage condition. Frame is original and shows some wear, consistent with age.
