Orig Embroidered British Coldstream Guard Colours Royal Regiment Whale Flag

Description: This is an extremely rare item !!!! If your a Coldstream guard enthusiast you know what your looking at . Royal Welsh Regiment (the old famous 24th Regiment of Foot) colour This and may other Coldstream, and British items from the early to mid 20th century, came out a massive estate sale of a former member of the guard. He was a member from the 1940s to 60s. He married and American nurse that that was that, eventually settling in New York. From what I gathered he was in a type of “quartermaster “ position for some time. His child stated that ,he wasn’t supposed to talk about what he had and collected because he wasn’t supposed to have some of it…. Here we have a Coldstream Guard Royal colours. This appears to be one of the very few made originals. The embroidery is second to none, white bullion and elaborately embroidered insignias. It is double sided and is easily hand made. Only a few were made I told. These only hang in one place and only a few back ups are made. I had this checked out with several retired Royal Navy and one Guardsman and they even thought it was the real deal. Most repos are printed or thread embroidered and know we’re near this, sell for 1000-2000 pounds. The only issue is that the bonding holding the double sides together came loose. Can be easily repaired or even left alone. It doesn’t affect the display either way. The purple Backing is a durable slinky, yet canvas texture material. Very durable , almost a rip stop material.
