Description: >Offered here is an old and original and extremely rare 1936-37 University of Oregon Webfoots Basketball Media Guide!! Please see all seven photos, as they are an important part of my description. This mega-rare media guide is guaranteed to be vintage and not a repro! This vintage media guide includes two thick covers, with five thinner pages (similar to old typing paper) inside, with three staples holding it all together at the top edge (very crudely assembled guide...but that is a big part of its charm!). The guide includes Oregon player data, team records from the prior 1935-36 college basketball season, team roster and schedules. Historic and significant media guide, as the Oregon Ducks won the first-ever NCAA Basketball Championship a short two years later! Head coach for the Ducks was Howard Hobson (Basketball Hall of Fame). Included on the team roster were four sophomores who starred for the 1939 NCAA Basketball Champs (known as "The Tall Firs") two years later as seniors: Laddie Gale, Bobby Anet, Slim Wintermute and Wally Johansen. This media guide was compiled by Bruce Hamby (Athletic News Service) at Oregon's Athletic Department (Eugene, Oregon). Text inside includes information on "The Galloping Webfoots". Again, extremely rare and uncommonly offered! <>Condition: the guide shows only minimal age/handling faults....nice!! There is one small edge tear on the front cover (none on the back). Minimal scuffing on both covers. Interior pages are toned with age, but in fine shape!
