Chinese container for storing rice, made of carved and varnished reddish wood, with a flattened ovoid body and a flat lid, slightly raised towards the center. The shoulders are clearly differentiated by an edge enhanced by the application of a metal molding, similar to the one that outlines the foot. Under the shoulders, on both sides, two arc-shaped metal handles, with floral design fixings. The lid is decorated with a central wooden tondo carved in lowered relief, combining an exterior border of geometrized clouds with a double interior profile of mitered curves.
