Description: Hutchinson bottles were the norm in the late 1800's. With the invention of the crown top method, this bottle was much more reliable for keeping the carbonation. This is a reproduction of the early Coca Cola Root bottle, much before the Hobbleskirt we know today. In 1902, Coca Cola teamed up with the Root Glass Co. and designed a more identifiable Coca Cola bottle, so other brands could not imitate Coca Cola any more. Coca Cola wanted a bottle that consumers would recognize the bottle in their hand, without looking at it. However, this design was later altered as it was too wide, and didn't fit the bottling machines satisfactorily. This bottle was only given out to employees of Coca Cola. It celebrates 125 years of Coca Cola. On the bottle, it states, "Open Happiness May 8, 2011". That is the anniversary of Coca Cola's introduction on May 8th, 1886. It also features the embossed signature of the Chairman and CEO of Coca Cola, "Muhtar Kent". This bottle is mint. Shipping will be only $9.00, anywhere in the U.S. for 2-4 day mail.
