Description: *OPEN BOX* Skywalker SKY6016 3ft Non-Permanent Dish Tripod with Dish Level & Compass (Mast Included) This dish tripod mount is the perfect option for situations when permanent mounting is not desirable. The pole and legs attach to base but can be easily removed for storage and portability. It stands 3 feet tall, and a 1.66” OD mast is included for quick installation. Additionally, it features a heavy-duty, molded ABS base with convenient azimuth degree markings molded in, as well as a bubble level and compass so you can calibrate the position of your dish/antenna for the best reception. Turn base upside down. Place nut inside nut clamp and drop into slot on bottom of base so that the open side of the nut clamp is toward the flat side of the base. Screw in adjustment knob. Use this knob to remove and re-tighten pipe mount for travel or storage.Attach compass to base, secure level to base.Attach rubber feet to support legs.Insert spring clips into the support legs until locked in place.Slide legs into base until locked in place. OPERATION Turn satellite receiver on, and use installation menu to determine the azimuth and elevation for your location.Remove the compass from the mount. The metal pipe and antenna will effect compass operation. Using the compass, determine the best location for the mount. NOTE: Satellite signals will not go through trees, buildings, etc. Screw anchor into the ground. TIP: Use a large screwdriver or piece of pipe inserted into the top loop to help screw anchor into ground. Attach the elastic cord to the bottom of the mount base.Set the mount over the anchor screw and attach elastic cord to the anchor.Reattach the compass to the mount base. Rotate the mount so that the arrow on the mount points North.Adjust mount legs until bubble level indicates that the mount is level.Attach pipe mast to the antenna and tighten. Adjust antenna elevation to correct setting for your location.Set antenna and pipe mast onto the mount.Connect antenna to receiver.Using the azimuth markings on the mount base, SLOWLY rotate antenna to the correct heading. TIP: If you do not find the satellite, be sure you have entered the correct zip code, and be sure that there are no obstructions (trees, buildings, etc.) in the line-of -sight. Secure the pipe by tightening the adjustment knob.
