Description: PAIR OPAL SOLID - DARK CRYSTAL - 1.05CTS7x5x1.5MM MATERIAL FROM MINTABIE FIELDS SA These opals have been cut to form an oval shaped design. A matching pair, they are a nice size for earrings or a pendant and ring combo. The colour play features green and blue with both pinfire and broadflash (on a dark background) when stationary or rotated. Rated by me as N3/4 in body tone and has a brightness of around B4. Shaped in a oval form, they have been finished with a low cabochon top and flat bottom. Combined weight is 1.05cts and each measures 7mm x 5mm x 1.5mm. The attached photos form an integral part of the description. Please note that the attached photos were taken by a Samsung Galaxy S8 mobile phone in natural light or under an LED desk lamp. Apart from cropping they have not been enhanced in any way. I am a private seller who was involved in the mining of opal material from the Mintabie, Coober Pedy and Lambina fields for more than 30 years.
