Nikki Sudden can still seamlessly fold Bob Dylan, T. Rex, the Rolling Stones, and Big Star into the same tatty overcoat and present them as a respectable entity in Jacobites, albeit with a collection of songs that any of the above-mentioned artists would be envious of. Standout tracks include the lurching boogie of "Over & Over," the gorgeous "When Angels Die," the simply spine-chilling "What Am I Living For?," and "Puppeteer's Son." The album closes with the eloquent "Wasted," which makes this, all in all, one of Nikki Sudden's best-recorded outings in the 12 years between 1988's landmark Fortune of Fame. ~ Skip Jansen Producer: Dave Kusworth, John Rivers, Nikki Sudden Format: CD (1 Disc); Stereo Release Date: 6 October, 2017 Label: TROUBADOUR Dimensions: 12.4 x 0.8 x 12.5 centimeters (0.03 kg)
