Description: Old Pawn American Indian Sterling Silver Concha BeltPresented is a wonderful Native American/Indian sterling silver concha belt. This piece dates to the 1930s-1950s. The belt consists of oval 'concha' links alternating with smaller ovals, all finely made by hand. The final 'concha' ends in a hook for the clasp, while the opposite end has a short length of chain, with wide links for the hook to go through. This piece is in great condition. The belt has been polished up, but some black is still visible in the recesses. There are no breaks and no repairs. This piece is marked 'STHI' on the final concha/link. We have tested this piece with nitric acid and guarantee it to be sterling silver. The total length of the belt is about 37 1/2 inches. On the smallest 'setting' the belt is about 33 1/2 inches, but it would be easy for it to be adjusted even smaller with the removal of one or more of the links. The belt weighs 152.7 grams or 5.4 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
