NWOT TALBOTS Red Sleeveless Ponte Dress "Boss Lady" Sz 4

Description: Classic sleeveless dress with tie belt from Talbots. The neckline is like a split-neck V, but not a deep V. Sheath style with bust darts skims the body. Invisible back zip. Bra-keepers in the shoulders keep things tidy. 6 1/2" black slit at the hem for ease in walking - it still has the stay-stitch white "x" thread to keep it closed in shipping, and that I leave to the next buyer to open up. Tie at the waist in the same ponte fabric. Unlined. Classy knee length. The ponte knit fabric is soft and a good weight - not too heavy, but not flimsy, either. The color is a nice cherry red, or holiday (holly berry? firecracker? Valentine?) red. It is NOT an orange-y red. Please allow for differences in color display on different computer monitors. Such are my photography skills. I try to describe it as accurately as possible. The style is versatile, and what I call "Boss Lady," i.e. can be dressed up or down for a variety of occasions, but appropriate for work when you don't feel like wearing a suit. It's a good, comfortable traveler that still looks polished and professional when you get off a plane. I often relied on this type of dress for my business travel, with or without a jacket, as well as for some personal events, out for cocktails, and right out to dinner. My apologies -- the mannequin lists to one side, and has rather large shoulders and rather small hips, which can make the dress look a bit droopy, and the sleeves a little weird at an angle. Brand: TALBOTS Size on the label: 4, but please see measurements below for best fit. Fabric: 63% rayon, 32% nylon, 5% spandex. There is some give or stretch, but don't expect it to be infinite. Condition: excellent -- new is new. No stains, tears, weird smells, etc. It has been carefully stored in a smoke-free, pet-free home. I retired not long ago, and am doing a good Kondo cleanout, reflecting my new lifestyle. I bought it "in advance" of my retirement as I often relied on this kind of dress for many purposes, but realize that I really can rely on the ones I already have at this point. I hope someone else can use this dress. MEASUREMENTS: these are the measurements of the actual garment, measured with the garment laying flat, i.e. double for bust, waist, hips, etc. It is best to compare to a garment that fits you well of a similar fabric and style.
