Description: A NOS Sturmey Archer Sportshift Wood Knob 3-Speed muscle bike shifter. These shifters were used Raleigh Rodeo and Fireball muscle bikes in the 60's and 70's. They were also offered over the counter for use with the Sturmey Archer AW 3-Speed hub. The shifter has the 1/2 inch back clamp for twin top tube muscle bikes. The shifter is in great shape with awesome chrome on the shifter handle and base. The cover is nice with an original paper wood sticker, but the small Sturmey Archer sticker has some shelf wear from age. The wood shift knob is complete with both silver foil SA stickers, which always seem to be missing from these shifters. The knob is really nice, it has even stain with just a couple dark spots and is nice and shiny. It includes all the mounting hardware, with the shift cable, cable stop for the frame, and universal barrel adjuster for the hub. Perfect for an original bike or for your best restoration.
