Description: Vintage/NOS General Motors (GM) Parts Division Steering Column Firewall Clamp Part # 3873158 This fine collection of NOS GM parts comes from the vast collection of "Pop's Garage" and features vintage car parts that have never been offered for sale on eBay. All of these rare parts and tools were purchased from a gentleman in Birmingham Alabama who had served his community for over 40 years as a mechanic, shop foreman and by doing "shade tree" work at his home for his friends and neighbors. Over the course of his career he accumulated a massive collection of specialty tools and very rare parts. We are pleased to present this fine assortment of NOS parts from GM. Condition: The condition of this piece is brand new NOS as it includes the original factory GM package. The condition of the package is poor but the clamp itself is in NOS condition. The item is not to be confused with imitation pieces or reproduction parts from the after market. These parts have been stored on Pop's shelves for decades and are just now being offered to the eBay community. Description: This is an NOS GM "Steering Column Clamp". The factory label states that the part number is 3873158 from Group # 4.027. We unpacked this item from a parts bin that contained a large assortment of parts for steering columns, transmission shift levers, etc. Application: The information in the Chevrolet parts book says that this part is suitable for some of the early Chevrolet products but it likely fits a lot of other GM makes and models. Dimensions: The overall outside diameter of the unit is 2.196" and the width is .750" Quantity: One clamp per sale. This is a rare part and will hopefully help someone complete the restoration of their classic vehicle. Our store often features the "Make Offer" option on many of our items so feel free to submit a reasonable offer and we promise to fairly and promptly review it. Being an old car guy I fully understand the "haggling" process in buying vintage car parts. We welcome the chance to negotiate with you to make this a successful transaction for both parties. (International sales do not qualify for this free shipping). What you pay for the item is what it costs you! No hidden fees and no surprise up-charges for oversize packages. Several of our eBay partners have used the feedback option to express their appreciation for this service and we are happy to provide it to all our fellow car enthusiasts. Heavy, bulky items will generally not qualify for Free Shipping. Be sure to read the listing carefully for details related to our shipping policies. Please don’t hesitate to email us with any questions you have about the item. We will be glad to share any information with you that we can. Mark Sain My Background Hi, my name is Mark Sain and I've been a car guy for many years. Here's a bit of my story: At a used car lot in a small middle Tennessee town the 'car bug' bit and I have been infected with this disease for over fifty years. The father of one of my high school friends was a co-owner in the dealership, which allowed me the opportunity to grow up around these classic cars. One of my first drives was an SS Impala, which has a way of hooking you for life! When you were in the graduating class of 1967 you were born to love the muscle cars of that era. Over the last four decades I have bought, sold, restored and collected cars from every vintage. There was a Cadillac LaSalle, some Ford Mustangs, a sweet 1953 MG-TD, several Corvettes, a few pickups, and even a 1926 Studebaker! This diversified experience has included owning approximately 150 cars in the last forty-three years! Within the last twenty years it has been my pleasure to concentrate more on collectible parts as I have personally witnessed how hard it is to find good quality, original parts for a vintage car. My travels have taken me to swap meets at Carlisle, Hershey, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Chicago, Moultrie, Louisville, etc. where I have built a relationship with other car hobby enthusiasts as a fair and reputable buyer and seller. I currently hold a ten-year certificate from Corvette Bloomington Gold for being a vendor at their prestigious event. As a result of these efforts, my warehouse now includes forty-two 'parts cars' and shelves loaded with engines, drive train parts, body parts, trim pieces, accessories, etc. Most recently I have been specializing in one of the most classic cars from the sixties - the Oldsmobile Cutlass 442. My family has lived in Florence for over 38 years where we have established a good reputation within the community. We own and operate five businesses in Florence, which enables me to devote my 'hobby' time and energy to one of the real passions of my life. For me it has never changed. I grew up around the classic cars of the sixties and my wife jokingly says I have never grown up when it comes to these treasures. We look forward to developing a relationship with you as we help you with your classic car.
