Description: Northwood Peacocks on the Fence Carnival Plate, Ice Green, Ribbed Back Pretty round plate with a ribbed back and sawtooth edge. The molded design features a pair of peacocks perched on a fence, with flower sprigs trailing along the bottom and side. Pale green glass with a soft pastel iridescence. Classic era carnival glass, introduced around 1911-1912.Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. The iridescence is in excellent condition, with almost no wear. Some light striations on the ribs on the back which appear to be factory. Two spots of darker green factory color inclusions in the glass. Marks: N circle mark. Dimensions: 8 7/8" wide, 1 1/2" high. Color Note: Some pictures are taken with a black background to highlight how the color of the iridescence of carnival glass can change in appearance depending on background color. Both the white and black background photos were taken under the same lighting, only the background color was changed.
