Description: Nippon Hand Painted Pink Rose Floral Cobalt & Gold Scrollwork Creamer & Sugar Nice antique Japanese porcelain creamer and sugar. Decorated with hand painted pink roses, pink, purple, and yellow flowers over a white background with gold scrollwork and lattice/net designs. Cobalt blue to the handles and along the edge. Unmarked. Probably made during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain, circa 1891 to 1921. Has some wear to the gilding. The creamer has a small flake to the rim with an associated tight crack. The crack is hard to see from the outside. Otherwise good condition. The creamer measures approximately 4 5/8 inches wide including the handle x 3 1/8 inches tall. The sugar measures approximately 6 inches wide from handle to handle x 3 5/8 inches tall to the top of the lid finial. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces.
