Description: NICE! Vintage Genuine Norlund TRAILBLAZER Double Bit Axe 27" Lg Original Handle Up for sale is this SUPER NICE! GENUINE NORLUND TRAILBLAZER Double Bit Axe, With The Original Hickory Handle (see pics). This axe is in 'as found' condition. I have done nothing to clean or repair this SUPER NICE, lightly used axe (see all pics). As you can see, the previous owner of this double bit axe had used what looks like a Dremel to sharpen the bits up a bit (see pics). Both cutting edges have very very very hard to see minor chips and nicks on them (see pics). The axe head is SUPER SYMMETRICAL (see pics). There are some minor scratches and scrapes on the original amber/reddish paint on both sides of the axe head (see pics). The axe head is securely mounted to the original varnished hickory handle (see pics). The handle has NO breaks, dings, cracks or repairs on it at all (see pics). The handle has NO curve to it at all (see pics). If you look at the picture with the eye of the axe head, you can see were the orange tape used to be located covering the eye (see pics). The maker's name: GENUINE NORLUND is embossed/stamped into the center of the axe head and is SUPER CLEAR/CRISP and DEEP (see pics). The total weight of the axe is 3 pounds 7.8 oz. The axe is a 27-1/4" long. The axe head is a little over 8-1/2" long with 4-1/4" wide cutting edges on both sides. The eye of the axe head is about 2-1/4" long.
