Description: Presented is an English mahogany wood tea caddy chest from the early 1800s. This piece has two original tea compartments, each with a wooden top inside the box. The interior has a bright red paper liner. The tea compartments would have had a foil liner at one point, but it has since worn away. The lids for each compartment have nobs which can be used to open them. It does not seem like these nobs are original to the box. The exterior of the lid displays a mounting plate full of grapes in a basket. This box is in good condition. There is some wear to the wood but the exterior is mostly in good shape. The 4 brass bun feet are well attached. There is a small break in the divider between the two internal compartments but it does not affect the function of the box. We do not have the key to this piece. Measurement: 6 1/2 x 3 1/4 inches at base, 5 1/4 inches tallInterior compartments: 3 x 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches-kc Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
