Description: I am selling a new Winkler WK Gen 4 rescue axe. This is the axe that put Winkler on the map with the United States special forces and primarily the Air Force Parajumpers. It is carried by many special operators today in their kits. This axe can only be orderd from Winkler with law enforcement or military credentials. This is a modified version of the WK Rescue Axe originally developed for United States Air Force PJ’s, with the changes based on extensive use in the field. The WK Rescue Axe Gen 4 is designed to cut through sheet metal, such as vehicles or down aircraft, without hanging up. The spike end is used to punch a hole as a starting point for using the integral can opener on the end; the center hole in the head serves as a handle. A hook under the spike is used for extending the user’s reach for grabbing seat belts or harnesses. The 80CrV2 steel is effective for chopping metals and hard building materials.
