Description: Description Gibson / Dove Original Antique Natural [Actual image/Made in 2024] Gibson Acoustic Guitar Electric Acoustic Guitar Dove [S/N:21504098] Natural Top Dove, Original Collection The square shoulder acoustic guitar "Dove" was born in 1962. Gibson's first square shoulder "Hummingbird" was released in 1960, followed by the high-end model "Dove". In the 1970s, Gibson's round shoulders were all replaced with square shoulders, ushering in a period of change. Dove and Hummingbird were the foundation of this. This is the Dove Original released as part of the current lineup "Original Collection". The "Dove" in the bridge and pickguard decoration is impressive! The pickguard is a carved type reminiscent of the hand-painted old model. Popular natural TOP and cherry SIDE/BACK coloring. The BODY is of course all solid wood, with Sitka spruce for the TOP and figured maple for the SIDE/BACK. Mahogany is used for the NECK, which gives it a good sound. The scale of the J-45 and Hummingbird is 24-3/4", while the Dove has a long scale of 25-1/2". The nitrocellulose lacquer finish and scalloped X-bracing are familiar specifications. The double parallelogram and crown inlay on the head are also familiar specifications of Dove. The head is equipped with a stable GROVER keystone peg and a traditional Dove truss rod cover. The pickup is equipped with an L.R.BAGGS ELEMENT VTC pickup, and volume/tone control is possible at the edge of the sound hole! The unique low frequency compressor (LFC) is built in, producing a dynamic sound. The sound has a clear outline and is characterized by a strong, grainy core.
