Description: Original WW2 1st Armored Division and 3rd Army uniform. Named to "Kohl" in jacket's interior. Untouched, this uniform is in excellent service used condition. The collar has metal ordnance insignia with flat back clutches. These ordnance men were responsible for repairing tanks and other vehicles of the division. Often, these men recovered vehicles under enemy fire. Due to their exemplary service, the 123rd Armored Ordnance Maintenance Battalion of the 1st Armored Division received the Meritorious Service Plaque in February of 1945. This honor is sewn to the lower right sleeve.I have not done any research on this veteran, but due to the small size of the 123rd Ordnance it should be a fun project.Very nice "Ike" jacket to a historic unit that fought in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. Mannequin, shirt, and tie not included in auction. Please view all photographs as they are part of the description. I combine shipping, so please wait for an invoice if you have won multiple auctions. Please ask all questions before the auction's end. Sold as is. No returns. Payment due within 3 days of the auctions close unless other arrangements are made.
