Description: This collection of short stories has an introductory chapter by Ray Long, an editor of Cosmopolitan in 1924, the year this book was published. Each of the half dozen short stories in it has the author's picture and a foreword. The blue hardcover book has gold lettering and no dustjacket. The corners are only slightly dog-eared. The binding is firm on the bottom, only slightly loose on the top, and there are no loose pages. The ink is bright and bold, making the text easy to read. A few of the pages have some unusual tears, though none affect the print or readability, as they are on the edge of the pages. The first couple were especially noticeable, being in the front. I included photos so you can get a good look. The pages are discolored with age. There are some scratches on the top of the book's pages, noticeable only when the book is closed. Other than that and the dusty top, this book is in good shape for being 100 years old. The stories within are the personal favorites of their authors' works, hence the title.
