The back of the necklace opening has two bead extensions on each end so no catches or rough edges. You can’t really see any hardware so no tarnishing or need for polishing or cleaning or matching metals with other jewelry when wearing. Simple but versatile and elegant. This was made by a local jeweler in Houston, TX. She has shows and a shop near downtown Houston but has moved out of the area three years ago so out of touch with her for questions; but I know it’s really nicely made jewelry! I have other pieces from her including custom made pieces for me and my Mother through the years. She’s credible and uses high-quality materials. I know these are Italian sourced glass beads. This necklace goes with so much! It can be worn casual with jeans and any colored top or in the evening with an all-black outfit or to add a bit of color under a suit or blazer for work. Fits into any wardrobe!
