MTH # 20-2172-1 DASH-9 STACK TRAIN SET

Description: MTH BNSF DASH-9 Stack Train Set.Set contains a Dash-9 Diesel with original Proto-Sound and four container cars.One car has an end of train device (ETD) that flashes red (Tested ok). Set is like new. A little run time on the engine but I don't think the cars saw any or little time on the track.Set was in safe storage by previous owner. Removed battery from engine and charged. Battery tested good and was reinstalled in the engine. Engine was factory reset with a MTH Z4000 transformer. The engine functions were verified. Engine runs forward and reverse. Whistle, lights ,horn, couplers and smoke functioned normally. No track or transformer were included in this Premier set by MTH. I am a member of TCA, LCCA and NASG. This set has been over-packed in another box and cushioned with bubble material.Combined shipping not available do to the box size. Set contains Diesel # 20-2179-A, Cars # 20-95006,20-95007, 20-950008, 20-95009 Diesel manual downloaded from MTH included along with color copies from the MTH 1998 catalog. Recommended standard practice for Proto-Sound 1 is to replace the battery with a replacement component called a 'BCR'. It is not a battery but replaces the original battery and is available from MTH and some train dealers. Also included is an attachable snow plow, four replacement traction tires and the factory supplied smoke container.
