Description: This is a replacement drive gear for the 19842 Mr. Christmas Nottingham Fair Roundabout Carousel. Over time, the plastic used for these gears splits along the teeth. This causes the gap between two teeth to open up slightly and looses grip on the shaft. If your carousel will spin ever so slightly when you "help" it but then stops suddenly and you can feel a hitch as you spin the platter, this is most likely your issue. I have shown in the photos where this gear is located, both in the model and with the shaft removed. Please note that this is a 14-tooth gear. This replacement gear has been modeled from the original and printed in resin plastic. The color of the gear will vary depending on what I have loaded in the printer at the time it's printed. This is a snug, press fit, so no glue or epoxy should be required, but it won't hurt anything if you choose to do so. PLEASE NOTE: As listed, this gear is for use on a smooth shaft. I have found that some of these units came with a splined shaft. If your shaft has grooves where the gear sits, let me know in a message prior to ordering. For those units, I can provide a gear in a PLA plastic (as opposed to the resin gear listed) and instructions on how to install it.
