Description: Up for sale is a rare Moynat Holdall Briefcase in black leather. Moynat is generally known among bag and leather fans as a high-end French leather and canvas manufacturer. The company was privately owned by Bernard Arnault as his special pet project for several years but is now part of LVMH….which Arnault is the largest shareholder in. Moynat uses the same leather as another famous French luxury leather company and Arnault even hired one of their bag designers as Artistic Director in the early years. The Holdall Briefcase was considered a unisex piece. There were two versions of the Holdall Briefcase and this is the one without the protruding side pocket giving it a more streamlined look. I’ve never seen this model preowned anywhere and Moynat currently does not have any leather briefcases in their lineup.
