I hope to continue adding to this collection. If you are a hunter, bow-hunter or traditional archery hunter at heart this may be the only way to get these old movies anymore. This feat of taking an elephant with a bow was first accomplished by Howard Hill years earlier but afterwards some said Howard could not be given credit for this because the authorities would not allow him to do it unless they shot the elephant in the foot first. This made the job much harder. Getting close enough to make a clean kill was made more difficult as this was now a very angry elephant that would trample or charge at anything. Howard succeeded but his job was made a lot more dangerous and difficult. He later managed to accomplish it again much more easily, more humanely and without the aide of a rifle after showing that the elephant could actually be killed with the bow. Bill can make this claim of being first I suppose because his first attempt was made only with a bow but long after Howard proved it possible.
